Hi everyone. My name is Kaitlin. I’m a huge Miami Dolphins fan and I’m also on the autism spectrum. Living on the spectrum is not an easy thing to do by any means. I’m ridiculed quite often for things that are outside of my control. I’m awkward, silly, goofy, and at times I don’t know how to react or respond to situations that occur in my social surroundings. Do I wish that I could change some of these things? Absolutely. But I’ll tell you one thing!!! I love wholeheartedly and I’m nice to everyone… sometimes a little too nice according to my friends. I have a big heart and I love to take care of others. That’s one thing that I’m especially proud of with having this disability, is my awareness of how others are treated and how I’d do anything to make sure they know that they are loved. You can find me at work or at a plethora of local sporting events or one of my favorite restaurants like Flanigan’s with my friends. I’ll always greet you with a smile and like Olaf, I’m more than likely to give you a warm hug too. I want to personally thank Allie for creating this blog… this space for me to express myself without judgement and to know that I am loved, appreciated, and accepted without boundaries.
